Trump administration tells judge it will partially fund SNAP benefits using contingency funds A federal judge ruled Friday that the Agriculture Department must disburse funding for SNAP, also known as food stamps.

NEW: The Trump Administration said it would use "all $4.65 billion in [SNAP] contingency funds, which will cover about half of each eligible household's benefits this month."

Why? Because two federal judges told him he has to.
