#GoodMorning! We have Remembered. Now I've got #coffee, and shortly off for graduation ceremonies 2 & 3. And then through to Friday....

#GoodMorning. Unusually, morning without church. Minor cold, no pain, no meaningful discomfort, very little voice. I need it for Tuesday. I can't sing (more than a little disturbing). There's just crackle if I try. I may leave house for a quiet walk, but for the now #coffee & quiet. Most odd.

One upshot of my Sumner sabbatical; the need to grasp opportunities. Therefore afternoon saw a trip to St Albans Cathedral to witness old chum installed as Honorary Canon plus an unexpected reconnection. (Shame my current dodgy throat impeded singing & reacted badly to the incense...)

Encouraging news at weigh-in this morning (but no bout of boxing likely!) Now off to put the world to rights over breakfast with a friend.

November, in growing light before day, and cars, few pass. Lights behind curtains hint at reluctant rising workers. But nature, in townscape's corners, garden pockets, endures still. Dawn chorus, simple beauty for those awake to hear, as birds sing dim to day, welcomg Sun's approach. #GoodMorning

Seagulls wheel & cry under grey cloud, carrying strains of Saltash on inner tide, unseen breeze. Salt tangs conjured, fishy reek recalled, mind transported briefly through space and time. Such strange enchantment in sound!

Fulll day: including blessing a memorial tree) & a contractor death on site (ill-health) & support thereafter. Supper streaming trumped by podcast watching. Adapted leftover chicken & stuffing with balti sauce, extra spices, veg & rice. I was too focussed on eating to photograph it... here's after!

Day ends, after collegiality, challenge, company. Ticket to #Dragonmeet booked, #RPG geekery (& Chaplaincy) confirmed. #GoodNight

#GoodEvening all! Change of routine: Clergy Study Day today. Good to see/be seen. Relevancy a bit lower as I m non-parochial & different priorities & stressors. Reminded of privileges I have while trying to acknowledge challenges of place, & not be overwhelmed by Imposter Syndrome. Excellent salad!

#GoodAfternoon: a slightly different Sunday lunch; a large, griddle-cooked sirloin steak served on a bed of couscous & cashew nuts, accompanied by rocket and spicy, fried leeks & mushrooms Still not quite mastered using the griddle, but getting there. Quite good at drinking the red wine though!

I've gone from ties to cravats, but need more.

(2/2)Not sure whether this is cultural or theological (for darkness as analogue for death & evil is defeated already). It probably means I need food, alcohol, or #coffee! In 30-50 years I suspect it will be normalised anyway, but not for me. (Not that I'll be here on 50 years!)

:) "Christotokos" means Christ- (or Messiah-,) 'Anointed One' bearer. Jesus, Christ, Word, & Son of God is accounted equal part of the Holy Trinity, one of three manifestations of the divine. I feel Christotokos is more specific. I am, by tradition & doctrine, in error. Confused yet?

Personally, I prefer 'Christotokos', Christ-bearer, but that makes me a (sartorially elegant) heretic. Allegedly (on both counts)

Reflections in #Isengard: low Sun's light on thinning leaves at morning, widening views; waft of brewery, sending mind back 30 years to Lancaster PhD, & stagnant miasma by path; simple joy of free hot drinks for students; & warmth of home, for cooking, & being, as dark deepens. #GoodMorning all. Morning Prayer & first (real) #coffee achieved, so time for some healthy exercise with the modest walk from Waterside to the Dev Hub, though it'll take more than that after the weekend's gustatory delights, which is why I'm walking home at day's end! Carry On!

I bumped into Mark briefly and had a short chat. We were on the way elsewhere though, and just popped in on spec.

(2/2) It also featured unexpected geeky temptation in the vicinty of a new Geek Retreat franchase based on Hobbycraft's mezzanine in Isengard!

Dr Moose, allegedly handsome, sits in a comfy chair in Caffe Nero. He wears a maroon blazer & matching hat, a tweed waistcoat over a gold-coloured shirt, the cuffs of which extend past the blazer's sleeves. There's a hint of a dark cravat, mostly beard-hidden. Trousers are blue, the socks of blue & maroon, shoes black.

(1/2)#GoodAfternoon! So far today's seen planned purchase of cheap trousers (practical & unexciting), two cheap shirts (unplanned), a new hat (considered, but not planned) & a new waistcoat (unplanned but necessary given unexpected temperatures in Market Harborough, where we went for #coffee).

I've run a con game Colours Out of Space/Predator crossover a few times...

I'm guessing the reference may be to the Loyalists of the War of Independence (or Revolt of the Ingrates, if you prefer...)
