I get it. This was a late at night perspective? I'd say being an artist is not the same as 'making it' this year or ever as a professional artist, of course ... you have made fine pieces that people have enjoyed / still enjoy and who knows what the future will bring...

My obscure purchase today was about an Australian New Town. From about 1970, signed by the author and her photographer, with inscription To Mother...etc
