It's been a while since I've watched The Sopranos but, as I recall, it doesn't usually end to well for mob bosses. What goes around comes around.

Very interesting, and hard to ignore for mainstream politicians as the BMJ isn't exactly a radical environmental publication. The difference in 'car acquisition tax' between UK and France is startling. Now I know why I see so few SUVs on French roads!

Tough but fair? How about a pro rata reduction in salary for members of parliament that don't attend their place of employment on work days and an 80% tax band for any that earn more than 50K doing a second job when they should be focussed on their elected position.

I don't understand why both politicians and official government accounts still use the platform formerly known as Twitter to communicate when it is owned by someone who wants, for whatever reason, to create chaos in our country.

This is quite interesting: older, potential Reform voter dining with young, long-haired Green voter. All seems quite normal until cyclists become the topic. Caught me off-guard, that did.

In fairness to SNCF if they don't have dedicated bike space you can bag your bike and take it with you as luggage at no extra cost and without pre-booking. Much better than buying your for Eurostar ticket and then having to email someone in the hope that the train your booked on has bike space.

Carrying bikes makes the train a part of a bigger multimodal sustainable transport system. As for loss of revenue I had to pay more for my bike on Eurostar than I did for my seat.

The state of that helmet! I understand the reasoning behind not making helmets compulsory for cycling along a bike path to the shops however I've knackered a couple of helmets in my time and wouldn't want to have endured those asphalt-skull contacts without one. I'm with Zoe on this.

Proper accessible - and online bookable - cycle transport. I believe all new European trains have to have a minimum number of bike spaces, will that happen for cross-channel services before I'm too old and decrepit to ride a bike?

The one thing that just might stop this lot in their tracks is their complete lack of discipline. (Which is counter-intuitive when one considers they're probably quite keen on bring back old time levels of discipline to schools and probably practice that sort of thing in their bedrooms too...)

I enjoyed that. There are obviously some good people at work in that community and it's heartening to see that many are not being taken in by the constant stream of disinformation on FB et al.. (Notable exception was the guy talking about the 'independent' journalists he watches on Youtube.)

Not in the sense that there is between Tory and Reform in England. It might be more useful to compare the overlap between SNP and Reform in Scotland. Farage wouldn't even attempt to pronounce the name of his 'party's candidate in Caerffili referring to him as 'Welsh Dave'. He's contemptible.

It's interesting how they think that's different to people overstating their 'welcome' in the UK. I'm embarrassed to be British.

Perhaps the council should be placing bollards (or more trees) where the kerbs haven't been dropped to prevent people driving across the footway. I bet not all of those cars parked in front 'gardens' have access via a dropped kerb.
