I struggle with how negative Stella is about us in the 'Rejoin' camp (she used to lampoon our star berets) - we are very aware that it is a faraway goal but we have all personally lost from Brexit & reserve the right to keep campaigning for closer ties in order to keep EU membership on the agenda.

I honestly don't know why she bothers to write these weak 'pro-European' articles where she attacks Remainers/Rejoiners with such disdain.

The idiots who voted for Brexit. I didn't. & If I applied to be a resident in an EU country I very much doubt my application would be accepted - that is the point of not being an EU citizen any more. It sucks. Every Brit I know who IS a resident got it before Jan 1 2020.

If Labour won't consider a Customs Union with the EU they should stop going on about Brexit. Grrr. So annoying.

I count freedom of movement also as being able to work in all EU countries. If you are a Brit with existing residency in Spain for example you cannot legally work in Germany, Italy, France et. You also can't just turn up in another EU country to try & live and get residency. We lost our FoM.

I suspect the UK needs to talk to itself on this topic for many years to come - probably until the current crop of UK politicians has moved on, especially Farage. Might be decades away. Then we might be able to make a pragmatic decision if the EU wants to talk to us, currently they seem disinclined.
