Wow! We missed it here in the UK, it was cloudy and wet last night ☹️

The population of China isn’t growing. It’s roughly flat, possibly falling, though data is not the most reliable.

Analysis: China’s CO2 emissions have now been flat or falling for 18 months - Carbon Brief China’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions were unchanged from a year earlier in the third quarter of 2025, extending a flat or falling trend that started in March 2024.

If you look at the graph in the article or linked carbonbrief report www.carbonbrief.org/analysis-chi... it’s about 3% lower than 18 months ago but has been wiggling up and down a bit. So can’t yet be certain whether it has really peaked.

Not sure where you get 60p per mile. Fuel duty is 53p/L. Average car does about 8 miles/L, so under 7p per mile.

It’s one of the weekly photo “challenges”, with a different prompt each Saturday. This week was #vertical.

Amazing how often just giving people relatively small amounts of money turns out to be really cost effective.

When the leader of a political party sets out plans to build concentration camps, and proposes sending people back to oppressive countries in the knowledge they will be tortured or executed, you would have thought his political opponents would at the very least attack the moral basis of those plans.

Libdems and Greens have opposed on moral grounds, not that you’ll see that in the MSM.
Also a few Labour MPs, but their party’s response is appalling.

I haven’t done much monochrome photography for a while, think I might do more.

It doesn’t matter what he says as he never considers himself bound by anything. No law, treaty, promise, rule, or contract binds him. He breaks them on a whim with impunity.

This is mostly used on private prescription in the UK, so users are paying that price. A lot will probably swap to ozempic/wegovy unless that price goes up too.
