I think they would restore this link road first before removing the temporary alignment. TfL might consult to keep part of it I think just like they have done with the Bank Capacity Upgrade

Looks like it is going to reopen by the second half of the year as I previously thought

Surprised that they managed to put in permanent infrastructure just out of the redevelopment.

Is TfL looking into upgrading this section of temporary Cycleway 4 built in pandemic era now that you got more funding? @willnorman.co.uk @londoncycling.bsky.social

The reality is that paying less deposit will drastically increase the chance of negative equity. This is an irresponsible lending that easily gets people into debt.

Sorry to be political. I don't know why they kept pendering to the right. It's not people from the right who voted for them. They are quickly losing voting base. I don't know whether they are pretending or so out of touch to understand.
27.04.2025 19:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The law change to β theoretically β bang up cyclists for life (red meat to right-wing press) is related to the recent anti-sustainable-transport messaging from UKGOV.

Sad to see TfL designate it as a Cycleway while its quality falls below standard Toby. This is certainly not acceptable.
09.04.2025 09:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Was hoping to see a sign indicating towards Westfield Av. cycle lane. Guess they will be in place once Olympic Park Av. becomes one way.
08.04.2025 19:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It is safer the other way round as you won't expect bicycle to suddenly roll itself out to the carriageway unexpectedly if the surface was inclined.

We need this kind of infra here. We are not doing well enough.
Non-standard cycles can be no more than:
- Length: 2.14 m
- Width: 0.76 m
- Height: 1.4 m at the handlebar
- Weight: 300kg including rider and property
E-scooters and kick scooters (unless carried by an accompanying adult) are not allowed on the service. 3/3

More specs have been provided on non-standard cycles:
Cycles can be:
- Pedal bikes with 2/3 wheels attached to a frame
- Adaptive cycles
- Cargo bikes
- E-bikes
- Santander Cycles and 3rd party hire bikes or e-bikes
