She stood in front of an ICE vehicle in clouds of tear gas with pepper ball bursting all around, an agent violently threw her to the ground.
When the tear gas cleared she sat at that same spot and took out her knitting.
She’s a bad-ass punk woman!

It’s tempting to look at this and hear the David Bowie lyric “This is not America”, but it is, on a Friday morning, in a suburb of Chicago.
We stood holding signs and flags, chanting and singing.
ICE tear gassed us, shot us with pepper balls, physically attacked us.
This is America, that is me.

Kat stood in the same cloud of tear gas, pepper balls bursting all around and she was violently thrown to the ground.
What did she do when the gas cleared?
She sat in front of the ICE barbed wire gate and pulled out her yarn and knitted.
That is a bad-ass punk woman.
