Did 2 school talks. 1 to year 9 and 1 to year 10. Had lot of questions and it was good to see teenagers interested in writing. There was minimum swearing from me.

This morning I’m off to talk to 2 different years at my daughter’s school about being a writer. I will try not to swear.

Finished a book and looked at artists for a cover for a secret sci-fi book. Haven’t found the right one yet.

Since I posted about how I’m anti fascist, I’ve lost several friends/followers. I will, somehow, move on from this ordeal.

Was looking forward to a productive day of writing, and then I scolded my hands with boiling hot water after buying a coffee and the lid came off. I'm fine, just not really feeling the enthusiasm to work right now.

If you’ve read my work and what you’ve taken away from those books is that I would in any way, shape, or form support fascism, you need to work on your reading comprehension.

Woke up to see Trump is now mocking the sacrifice of UK troops in Afghanistan. A man who dodged the draft doesn’t get to say a damn thing about anyone serving. Every single person who served there has more integrity in one finger than Trump has in his entire cowardly, disgusting body.

Sinners has better win some of those Oscar nominations, it was a great film.

It’s not a bad thing when the most negative thing about your newly release book is that 100,000 words is “too short”.

As an author with a new book out (A Murder of Crows, out now, buy it). It’s really hard to need to promote my work while watching people try to burn the world down for their own ego.

Mostly, yes.

Occasionally, I get messages from Americans asking me about the book in which I killed off their president by having him eaten and replaced by a monster.
The number of messages has increased.
I’m sure that’s a pure coincidence.

Now they need to do something about it.

I don’t even know anymore. I remember the days when living in the uk meant I rarely had to think about the US President. I miss those days.
