While H1-B visas are probably an overall net good for the country and economy they are frequently a net bad for individual citizens who have to compete on an unfair playing field. They allow abuses by employers who can exploit essentially captive workers.

H1-B: on one hand they are good because they help bring smart people to the US. On the other they depress hiring and wages of US citizens because H1-Bs are generally paid less for the same job. On the third hand H1-Bs are usually exploited by employers being forced to work extra hours

I lived in a very rural part of the Colorado Rockies, nearest gas station 15 miles away, steep gravel roads, etc. Charged overnight in the garage on a 240v-50A circuit. Routinely had to drive 100+ miles to shop/doctor/etc summer and winter with no stress. EVs are far more capable than you think.

EREVS are just gateway drugs to pure EV life. After a while you start wondering how much range you need to always be electric. One day you have to buy gas and wonder why. Pretty soon you’re comparing EVs, looking at wiring up a charger. Then you cave, go EV and never go back.

That is incorrect. If HP made such a difference the dual motor AWD Model 3 would have half the range of a RWD, but has only 4% less.

The main problems with range are aerodynamic drag, followed by tire rolling resistance, other losses (heat/cooling), DC/AC conversion, then other friction. HP isn’t.
