Important additional information here that would have been useful in the abstract is that ZHX2 is a transcriptional repressor (of the zinc finger and homeobox family).

Our team of former journal editors know why papers get published. So, why did the Mol Cell editors publish this?👇 We know hypoxia causes cancer. But here's a new mechanism - phase separation. Hypoxia causes phase separation of ZHX2, altering it's function so it activates metastatic genes. 👍
