06.10.2025 19:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am about to start a series of community events for studying writing craft and I'm immediately adding this story and interview to my pile!
23.09.2025 21:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is why I never talk negatively about a book online. If I don't like a book, I only quietly whisper it to my reading friends!
22.09.2025 19:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh I'm sorry.
I lost my dad last year. It's terrible.
About the man and about the state of our country.
15.09.2025 17:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Congratulations, Nina!
14.09.2025 23:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Auto correct just turned my name into Star Wars and surely now I have special powers.

12.09.2025 02:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That makes a huge difference. And lends so much more potential depth. I love editors!
12.09.2025 01:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm so curious what the sentence was/is!
11.09.2025 21:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Nina Schuyler @ninaschuyler.bsky.social has a fantastic newsletter called Stunning Sentences. She is doing an intensive this week with a sentence posted every day--getting to write my own sentence and responding to all the other writers' sentences is doing wonders for me this week.
11.09.2025 21:51 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This one made me cry. Painfully astute.
10.09.2025 13:29 β π 5 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0Years ago, a friend told me told me a piece of news was "shocking but not surprising" and it fits for this pivot.
09.09.2025 19:22 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Whole draft completed, though then a long period on revising beginning to middle, because until that was resolved, there was no point in revising the end.
07.09.2025 00:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I didn't know Oval Office was having a worst-spoken-word-poetry-contest.
05.09.2025 22:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wow--great shot!
05.09.2025 14:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This!

02.09.2025 21:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Honestly, want so badly to be in the 90s right now. Can't wait to get there through BURN.

Going to Target triggers one my biggest late-90's/early 2000's nostalgia. Target used to be so fun and had everything I could possibly want and more...now it's like shopping a weird mart that barely stocks anything.
(Except for the optical wipes, which are the best of any.)
It's horrifying.
15.08.2025 02:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Always. Yay for napping.
11.08.2025 19:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It was a privilege to write my dad's obituary. Figuring out how to honor him while also being real about who he was (a character, but not always in the good way...) was a tremendous help in my grief. I heard stories from my mom I'd never heard before, and I'm so proud of how I captured him.
03.08.2025 23:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is everything and terrible all at once.
01.08.2025 02:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Since it makes me feel so much better to read this, I'm gonna go with yes.
