Why "despite"? Wouldn't launch titles tend to be faster-selling anyway, all other factors being equal?

Although we can't discount the fact that early adopters were the people most likely to 'get it' anyway, plus stock availability was probably not like-for-like. But, still, interesting figures!

The real lede here, that I'd never appreciated before, is how the Wii U launched nearly as successfully as the Wii! That's wild and kinda contradicts the prevailing narrative that ppl really didn't 'get' it. The issue was more a poor response from those who did.

This is exactly the point! You always had the option of preventing your children from accessing pornography. Now, they can't (except, obviously, they still can) but the rest of us can't access Bluesky DMs and soon won't be able to access Wikipedia.

I mean... this poll is totally misleading. It's implying the law is only about pornography, but it's far, far broader than that.
