I've been looking back to December 1978 for a similar set up. It was a battle that took a couple of weeks and NY '79 had a very memorable Beast from the East. Most of December was pretty miserable from memory, until finally the cold air won.

For fun: GFS 00z going for something a little bit more 'Beasty' in less than two weeks' time with a Scandi high and a cold Easterly into the UK. Very different output from the changeable Atlantic weather in other forecast models with low pressure mostly in Biscay. Interesting start to Winter... ❄️

The faux outrage is palpable. In doing so they hope to silence the questions and intimidate the interviewer. They also talk over the other person. I think they're getting more of a grilling now that NF has been found out.

I thought she did rather well with the jibes at the other parties. e.g 'freezing Russian assets... and I don't mean the honourable member for Clacton". Badenoch was predictable and had a pre-prepared speech that was going to pour cold water on whatever Reeves said. It's all become a circus.
