To clarify: I’m not speaking to how prevalent the those dudes were or whether or not the criticism was justified. Just in a nutshell that’s where it came from.

The TLDR goes back to 2016 where the Dem primary came down to Hillary v Bernie. Bernie bro was a derogatory term for dudes who were hardcore “Bernie or Bust” and said they would not vote for Hillary in the general.
