I like the idea of the TRON universe leaking into the real world and having to deal with the consequences of that. I am uncertain though if Ares would hold water given how hard it is to actually get decent movies made these days.

Depression is so weird. Some people just doom scroll, some people lay in bed, others emotionally spend on little dopamine treats. Me? My brain says I need to go spend $520 on lumber to build the desk/bookshelf combo I dreamed up for the primary bedroom for my wife and I.

This year, I tell ya.. just beating me down. Today I’m saying goodbye to my dog Mumford, my best friend. The first big commitment for my wife and I. I already lost my dog Bella just two months ago. Two in one year, just a gut punch 😣💔

Frustrated with lack of a visual diff for KiCad PCBs in git, I made a simple shell script that does 90% of what I want. Here's a demo of it in action. Now I can "git diff" my PCBs!

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

We should never live in a society which exists at a point where the most repulsive, oppressive, and dehumanizing behavior is openly expressed with no majority of decent people to shut them down or hold them accountable. The US is living that reality today. 70m+ people voted for this.

I wish that when people predicted what’s happening now, that people would have listened in 2015/2016 so we never actually got all of this. The systematic push by people who are now loudly saying what they’ve always believed is short of astounding.

On my team of 28, 2 women. I work directly with 3 across a few projects. Used to be 4 but one left a few years back. Kind of sad there isn’t more.

Also funny to see people online complaining that music or art shouldn’t be political. It’s always been political, they just don’t like that it is usually politically against fascism and treating innocent people like trash.

Green Day was and will probably always be one of my favorite bands, especially the political messaging behind their songs. Architects has definitely been moving up the list. Their song Whiplash is very pointed and a great anthem of our current resistance, for me at least.

I out a couple hours into Jump Ships demo with my brothers and a buddy Sunday evening and last night. I love the game mechanics and the entire premise. Super fun and I’ll definitely be buying it.

The fact is we use slow changes as an excuse to just let things happen and that’s why we are where we are. Accepting things as “what they are” is a cop out for pushing for real change.

I just want to make one small point on this, the frogs slowly boiling in water quip is just factually wrong. Frogs are smart enough to know when the water is too hot even if it starts off cold.

I was trying to keep instagram because it was okay at the time but now it’s just every 3 posts on my feed are for far right media..

Zuckerbucks has really turned is advertising over to far right advertisers. Nothing I interact with says right wing, and no matter how many pages I block there is always more far right ads popping up on my feed. This is getting ridiculous.
