Bluesky has really let itself down tonight, taking a beautiful show by a Puerto Rican who told us about his home, his family, his people, their trials and their joys . . And imposing Minnesota & ICE on it, because that is what we are currently (and rightly!) worried about.

Puerto Rico matters, too.

Puerto. Rico. Is. Political.

My. Guy. Watch the scene again. It is not about immigration. It is not about ICE. There are no representations of kidnapping or deportation.

Bad Bunny is smart enough that if he wanted to make that point, he would. As he has: Remember “fuck ICE”? Pretty clear.

This show was for his home.

The point is that people jumped to an erroneous conclusion and, in your case, really doubled down when people who knew better tried to educate you.

It was gorgeous and moving.

He is talking about his own experience in PR, including the experience of colonialism.

Hence the live wedding we *should* be talking about, Ricky Martin signing about not letting what happened to Hawaii happen to PR, including the images of the PR power grid.

Just because a bunch of us white liberals on Bluesky mapped our own politics onto it, doesn’t mean it is what was shown.

It’s crazy to see damn near the entire lot of BlueSky fall for false information the way they have tonight about Liam Ramos. That scene was a representation of Bad Bunny giving his younger self the Grammy.

And the kid represented his own younger self, not Liam.

Your first indication that the child in question is not Liam Ramos is that every engagement-farming account on this site is reporting that it is, as fact.

As noted by others, I thought that scene represented Bad Bunny going “back in time” to hand the Grammy to his own “younger self”. Dreams come true, etc.

I didn’t think it was a specific comment on ICE or Liam Ramos, let alone the actual kid.

See, I didn’t think the little boy in Bad Bunny’s halftime show represented Liam Conejo Ramos. I thought it was Bad Bunny reaching back to his own childhood to pass Little Boy Bad Bunny the Grammy he’d win in the future.

Some are saying the boy WAS Liam, and if it was, I’d sure like to know
