Cover of The Phantom #656. It features the Phantom, wearing a grey bodysuit and black domino mask, climbing a wall while carrying his pet wolf, Devil, on his back. The artwork is drawn from a nicely dramatic angle, looking down at the Phantom as he climbs. Unfortunately the angle does make it look almost like he's crawling on the floor while Devil mounts him from behind. Devil has his ears up and his tongue out, and looks *really* happy.
While cleaning up the other week, I found the Phantom comic with my favourite ever cover.
I can see what they were going for, but...

If it weren't for exchange rates and postage, I'd probably go for it 👍
While I appreciate TCM for how important it is, I've never been a great fan of the film, but this is an absolute goldmine for the dedicated fan!
I love that things like this are getting released, and if it weren't for the exchange rate between here and the US, I'd probably buy it just to have it!
Exactly what it says on the label: The Pope in 1982. He's wearing a black hat, dark RayBans, and looks like he's a member of the Blues Brothers.
What's from Chicago, hates Illinois Nazis, and is holy as fuck?
It's the Pope in 1982.
Can we just take a minute and acknowledge that our POTUS is right OUT IN THE OPEN lobbying Congressional members to vote against releasing the Epstein files?! Like... what the fuck else does anyone even need to know?

I've known a few blokes who deserve this
Also heard that small town police, where everyone knew X was a wife-beater and couldn't act on it, when wife snapped and killed him, often quietly put down death by misadventure, accident, etc.
All the blokes being murdered by over-it spouses was why no-fault divorce was first introduced
There's a tonne of stories of women on their deathbeds cheerily talking about poisoning their husbands (died of natural causes), chopping them up and feeding them to the pigs (he went out and never came home), or killing a neighbour's hubby for them (killed by "unknown assailant" while wife was out)

For a good chunk of my life, I wanted to be a police officer, until my short sightedness and even shorter stature meant that it wasn't to be.
The entire reason I wanted to be a copper was to help people. I think I dodged a literal bullet, because I would absolutely be reporting all the corrupt cops
My two thoughts on this -
It sounds fake.
If it's real, I'm betting the only cops seriously considering leaving are super-fucking-corrupt.
80s movies are like: Boris Vallejo art! A body builder in vaguely disguised sweatpants jogging through Italy!
1920s movies are like: It cost a fortune but what if our poster is just kinda cute?
Only 1910s movies deliver on their promise
“We have a massive international epic with a cast of thousands and we even rented an entire national army for the battle scenes, plus a tender and mature romance, and also blood-curdling torture!”
“Sure thing, boss, two minor characters on a picnic just like you said!”
My favorite misleading poster of all time, a sort of Reverse 80s Movie

For bonus points, I'd say that if we don't switch to an AI CEO, I'll be selling my stocks.
I'd sell my stocks anyway, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with a company treating the workers so badly, but doing so publically would cause a stir.
2/2 I'd bide my time, wait for the stockholders meetings, turn up and start questioning sacking workers to make money when all evidence shows replacing CEOs with AI results in better decisions and more money saved.
Then sit back with my popcorn as the CEOs try to justify their jobs to the crowd.
