If one aims to specifically look at mods changes at a known mod site in tRNAs, other tRNA-seq methods work well for this purpose. If one looks to broadly profile mod sites in tRNAs, MapID-tRNA-seq provides unique analytical power to rule out miscallings.

            Great point! A major challenge with calling modification sites by RT mutation signatures is that there are high chances of miscalling due to apparent mutations resulted from tRNA genetic variances in humans. MapIDs provide a bioinformatics solution to these miscallings.
