Hey friends! I havenโ€™t posted much lately, been a bit busy.
Time to share new images ๐Ÿ˜‰!

Hereโ€™s a new shot from beautiful Antarctica captured last month ๐ŸงŠ.

Does Greer think *all* of Canadaโ€™s GDP relies on exports? Does he know how to calculate GDP?

Historically, 75% of our *exports* have gone to the U.S. but that only ever translated into 17% of GDP.
And Canadian businesses are actively pursuing other markets. www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/36-28...

Here we go, one foot in front of the other.

Gonna go read a chapter or two and pedal 100 calories away.

I could be wrong but I suspect this won't move the needle much for brown and black folks though...?

From the New York Times: According to hunger relief workers, ICE agents have been staking out food distribution sites. And the F.B.I. is reportedly investigating group chats of volunteers and protesters on the Signal messaging app. Volunteers are trained in what to do should ICE agents follow them on home deliveries or pull them over, including eating the
slips of paper that contain the addresses of aid recipients. Sergio Amezcua is a pastor at Dios Habla Hoy, a church in south Minneapolis that has become a sizable food distribution center. He said he had seen ICE agents circling the church, and last week he came across what he suspected were ICE agents posing as takeout delivery men trying to enter an apartment building where he was
dropping off food. "We know they're trying to impede us," said Mr. Amezcua, who has said he regrets voting for President Trump in 2024. "I think Trump has no idea how people are living in Minnesota," he said. "If he
does, Lord have mercy on him.

The administration that wears its diamond-encrusted crosses in full display, so intent on arresting people who demonstrate at churches, circles churches who are distributing food to the hungry, even posing as takeout delivery men to enter buildings where good Samaritans keep people fed.

As news coverage ebbs but reports from the streets indicate Operation Metro Surge is still surging, Iโ€™m surprised thereโ€™s not some kind of official report/press conference every day, like we used to get during Covid. Just the best update they have on what happened today? I think I am being naive.

A sepia-toned photograph showing three male athletes standing side by side, cropped at the shoulders and waist. The central figure is Alexander Hurd, facing the camera with a neutral expression. He wears a light-coloured long-sleeve sweater with a large dark maple leaf on the chest and the word โ€œCANADAโ€ printed below it, and a small knit cap. The two athletes beside him wear matching sweaters and caps, partially visible at the edges of the frame. The background is out of focus, suggesting an outdoor setting.

At the Winter Olympics, Canada has won 42 medals in speed skating, including 10 gold.
But the first Canadian to bring home gold was a Sudbury miner named Alexander Hurd in 1932 who became a Canadian Olympic hero.
This is his story.

I live above a busy intersection. When I tell non-Minnesota people I see at least a dozen ICE cars a day, they always ask how I can tell.

Multiple SUVs running the same red light is a dead giveaway.

We've locked on building or furniture joinery! It's like with human limbs. I'm startled at how well it mostly does plants and moving water, but furniture backs/legs and wall-ceiling corners are a real tell.
