When I was an FBI agent, the following regulations were in place that I was expected to follow and faced punishment if I didn't: 1) no shooting at vehicles to stop at fleeing subject; 2) I must not use non lethal force to punish; 3) I must intercede if I witnessed another law enforcement agent using

True. This Administration will do the same, but there is no SOL for murder. If an indictment is made, the Feds will remove it to Fed Court to broaden the jury pool. Still a decent chance for a conviction based on video.

When I was an FBI agent, we were told by FBI lawyers that if we were involved in a shooting, a local grand jury would review our actions and we could be indicted on state charges. An FBI sniper was indicted on State charges in Idaho after Ruby Ridge.

That's all? I would imagine if the President I voted for sent masked agents to tackle and detain people who looked like me, solely because they looked like me, I would regret my vote 100% of the time.

I have no clue what that means in this context. They hired us to follow the rules and be faithful to the law and constitution, so trying to manipulate the polygraph was antithetical to the job. Additionally, it's not like they couldn't detect the technics to alter a polygraph.

You apparently have never been subjected to a polygraph...

Unlikely that the US will survive the first rounds of the world cup.

Only a small handful of elected Democrats ever advocated for "defund the police", but right wing media attached it to every Democrat, even those who were full throated against it. In the future, the GOP/Fox will make up something stupid and attach it to Democrats. They are merchants of mendacity.

Not to nitpick, but this looks like they are hiring drivers and guards and not the position similar to agents...not that the agents are world-class at the present.

Is it really unpopular? I thought it was fairly mainstream...though not universally agreed upon. In hindsight it was clearly the wrong decision.

Next you are going to write about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's determination to stay on the Supreme Court despite the Pancreatic Cancer because she alone knew the key to justice in America. Let's face it that great people held on too long and our Nation is on the brink as a result.

The economy was great on a macro level on January 19. It was tanked by choice in 100 says.

I assume they filed a criminal complaint. We will see if a Grand Jury will indict.

As another commentator remarked, Tradecraft is the word intelligence officers use to describe how to communicate in a clandestine fashion. We learned all about it at the FBI Academy.

Pilots often do carry pistols under a post 9/11 program.

Ok, there may be a 20-year Max sentence, but in my experience, it is very rare to get a judge to give that. A lot depends on the sentencing guidelines. A lot of judges go way under. I investigated and charged a guy who stole over $5 million from Augusta National...he got 1 year in prison.

If I were FIFA, I would be very concerned about what is going on related to the detention of visitors to the United States. How can a country be trusted to host the World Cup when there is no guarantee that officials, players and fans won't be detained and possibly sent to a Salvadoran prison?

I spent 3 months working and living in Oklahoma. Probably the worst State that I have spent a lot of time in. They are religiously Republican despite being bottom 5 in education and wealth. Meth filled towns big and small. Losers. But hey don't vote for Democrats....

I do have a caveat on further review. It is not 100% clear that your guest was an actual agent. Intel analysts can be section chiefs but are not sworn 1811 law enforcement and would not qualify for the special retirement after 20 years.

Yes, almost no one ever quits at that point in their career. The FBI has a historically extremely high job retention rate. If people leave, it is usually within the first 5 years.

10.04.2025 14:02 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Leaving the FBI after 17 years is really making a statement because you need 20 to get your 1811 pension, which includes generous health care benefits. Most people stick it out at that point. I left as well in anticipation of what was to come, but I was already vested.

Well she had jobs as a US Congressperson and as Governor. Those incomes are public knowledge and were comparable to mine. I was hinting that the 30k watch may have come from lobbyists etc.

1) gun should be pointed straight down between feet or straight up in the air 2) is she a sworn 1811 Federal agent? Why does she have an assault rifle? Has she passed the qualification to carry that weapon? She is an observer in these matters.
