You are absolutely right of course, but this is mostly a propaganda war. So both sides focus on the hypocrisy. In this case MAGA believe they are pro-Christianity and pro-Constitution. There is no trust that other the individuals you point out matter at all. In the battle for attention who matters?

I think this is outcome, not the motivation. The motivation is to buy any asset where profit can be maximized to suck up as much as possible. The next 3 years are all about privatization.
