They would like to have job flexibity, maybe start their own enterprises. They would like stability in a country they’ve spent years in. But that’s not the reform some folks are talking about, it’s a barely veiled contempt that non-white immigrants find success in their work.

A couple of thoughts about the somewhat nonsensical H1-B debate going on over at X: if you believe the system needs reform, guess what? So do a lot of H1-B holders. They would like not to wait decades to achieve permanent residency and live in limbo until they can adjust status.
