FINISHED! Suboden Khan off the White Scars. This is a fantastic model, one of the best releases last year (after Logan Grimnar). I picked him up to paint as a one off for my display case. Really lovely to paint.. although I realise I detest painting white. #nerdlings #Warhammercommunity

Each shade or highlight I'm glazing over the the previous in very thin layers to get a nice gradation.

Yeah sure, I did a full chapter of space marines in bone coloured armoured.. It is my speciality.. it's ushabi bone base then shaded with zandri dust, then skragg brown, then mournfang brown. I then highlight with screaming skull and then white scar.

Now that's a film id watch!

Haha, it did occur to me that he looks a bit teary. It was meant to be distinguished streaks of grey.. but why not. Space Wolves are humans too and are confident enough to not be scared of showing their emotions.

They are sooo good. I paint Dark Angels usually but had to get this three! Just for the display case.

In the end I put a very thin glaze of talassar blue over the whole thing.. I'm not convinced by that though.

Yes of course. I used a macragge blue base which I shade with Kantor blue and then nighlords blue.. maybe even then a bit of black in the nightlord. Then I highlight with caller blue, Alaitoc blue and then fenrisian grey.

WIP of Arjac. I decided I wanted to paint the three space wolf named characters released in 2025. They are magnificent models. I started on Arjac. I've blocked in the main colours and have highlighted and shaded the blue. #nerdlings #warhammercommunity

Thanks! I was planning to use those colours.. I mean they literally have space wolves names. I wasn't convinced they would be quite that vibrant. I might try a quick test model first.

These all look great! What blue paint are you using for the space wolf. I'm doing a few of the new characters imminently and that's just the blue shade I'm after.

Yeah, I was thinking that you need a good market to guarantee a re-sale.

The place I went to have employed a guy just to buy second hand minis from people and flip them either via their website (or in-store) or via eBay. Its a good idea I think. My hobby room was absolutely packed with sprues. Just having a clear out was nice and I got something back for them.

Ah shame, it seems pretty new in the UK.. or at least I've only just encountered it. Maybe it will take off as a concept elsewhere.

I'm not sure where you are based but in the UK there are FLGS that take old minis and give you a pretty decent price for them. I sold £400 of SoB, Vottan and Necrons that I finally conceded I'm never going to paint last week. It was really painless to do.

I prefer it to the Villeneuve versions. They are very competent but lack the unhinged-ness that made lynch's version compulsive. It is a mess but that doesn't bother me.
