It's not you. Nothing that you have control over.

Sure thing. I like to include things that are PBM related.

For fans of play by mail gaming!
* Kindly look past the fact, if you will, that I failed to delete an empty template for Takamo, before I hit the send button to publish this issue. It was a blunder on my part.

Instead of breakfast, chew on this, unless you're allergic to text.
Have a nice PBM day!
PBM Chaos (typos and all) has been published!

P.S.
Sorry in advance for any and all typos.
I shall make mention of these PBM confessions in the next issue of PBM Chaos, which shall publish later today.
04.08.2025 11:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What made it awesome, Forrest?
04.08.2025 11:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0By pure coincidence, I started posting on here, yesterday, though I created this account a year ago. Your mention of "First long term job was with a pbm gaming company" in that reply to another came up in my search for "play by mail." I remembered your name from calls and from the HW credits page.
03.08.2025 16:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Everyone that played Hyborian War likely had their favorite person at RSI that they preferred to deal with. I recall you always being patient with me, a consummate professional. Then one day, your voice was on the other end of the phone no more. I'm just one person, but know that you were missed.
03.08.2025 16:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You were great. PBM players had (and still have) a tendency to get all wrapped up in their favorite play by mail games, and their capacity to get on the nerves and to test the patience of those at PBM companies that answer the phones or check the company's e-mails is notoriously well known.
03.08.2025 16:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Status Update for PBM Chaos Issue #39:
I just now finished writing the new editorial for Issue #39.
There's an article by Joey Wardell.
There's an interview by Richard Lockwood of Mo Holkar.
There's Episode 11 of the Hyborian War Question Series.

Would you like me to include some links/linkable images to your Patreon page in my future issues of PBM Chaos? I was thinking maybe just include your Lakefront City Tribune images as a clickable link, which would take people directly to the corresponding article on your UKGamersPodcast Patreon site.
03.08.2025 11:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Schubel & Son was perhaps the "Big Dog" of play by mail gaming, back at the height of its PBM grandeur.
03.08.2025 08:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Were you in the UK when you played that PBM game in 1984, or were you in Australia?
Mitre Games also ran The Tribes of Crane, but there were other PBM game sin past years that dealt with tribes and exploration.
I never played it, back in the day. Do you have any specific memories about the game, be they good or bad, that you would care to share?
03.08.2025 07:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Does this old PBM advertisement by the now-defunct PBM company called Schubel & Son look familiar?
