I use the word "to eat" too much in English. Sometimes it would be more natural to say "to have" something, right? But my Finnish brain tends to forget that

After weeks of 20% indoors humidity (not sure how long exactly, I bought my weather station a couple of weeks ago) I finally have 23% in my room and I'm so happy

Just to clarify, I'm interested in both languages, but right now I'm more interested in Malaysia (and Singapore) as a travel destination than Indonesia. I already started learning Indonesian before, but my level is so low, I can't even tell the two languages apart (just some words), they're so alike

Later in the year I also wanna resume my A1 Indonesian. Actually I wanna learn Malay, but can't find good resources, and I already have plenty for Indonesian, so my plan is to learn that first and then Malay by consuming content / talking to people. (Let me know if you think this is silly) #langsky

Next week is my last Japanese focus week, so I wanna work extra hard. After that I can finally focus on improving my A1 Mandarin!

I’m currently familiarising myself with Malaysia to spend part of my winters there, in addition to Singapore. Not just because of the lower cost, but also because based on everything I know, I’m sure I’d love it there. (My Malaysia knowledge so far is two days in Johor Bahru)

Oh wait Chii also has one, now I have to make a decision

Last year I bought Manakan's calendar from a fan in Japan who had bought a ton of them, but I never received it. Now she has a new one out soon (it's a spring to winter calendar), and I feel like I should at least get this one

Watching a bunch of old insta stories from my archive today inspired me to change my life for the better. I used to take better care of my health and home

My mother tongue is Mexican #Spanish but the native language of my home region is Yucatec Maya - one of the 68 recognized #Mexican national languages - spoken by 800,000 people in the #Yucatan Peninsula.

I bought ice skates this winter, and I’ve gone a few times. I wanted to show people I can have fun in winter instead of always just being miserable. I did have fun, but in the end I’m complaining more, because I take so long to recover (I dress well, I’m just sensitive to cold weather)

I think the worst might be over this winter. Had to stay off work today due to weather pains, but I’m feeling a bit better already. Now I’ve gotta plan how to never spend January and February in Finland again

I actually might one day! 😄 I really like the sound of it. But I have many other languages I wanna learn or improve first

When I speak Japanese, I'm sure I sound like "today feel no great um bit tiredness um but want to Japanese learn", and my teacher is amazing, she listens to me with incredible patience, and if you just looked at her face when I speak, you would think she is listening to the most eloquent person ever

I've just posted here in two languages I'm not very confident using. If you feel like helping, I always appreciate corrections to my mistakes (in any language actually, English included)

Cuando empezé a estudiar español, pensaba qué sabía la differencia entre "ser" y "estar", pero ya entiendo que en realidad no sabía nada. Todavía (llevo 3 años aprendiendo) pienso qué la entiendo la diferencia, pero cometo errores todo el tiempo. Un error cada minuto. Me ponen loca estos verbos 🫠

This project also had an unexpected side effect: I’m watching my native Finnish shows and content now. I don’t normally do that much, because I’m always practicing foreign languages. Listening to barely-comprehensible Japanese all the time has made me crave for moments where my ears can rest 100%

For the remaining two weeks I’m gonna be even more strict and really keep even input in other languages to a minimum. The strategy is working nicely so far, my Japanese has certainly improved, well, it’s a short time, and it’s the time of the year when my energy levels are at their lowest, but still
