It's a snow day here in Southern Ontario, Canada - schools and other offices are closed. So what's happening?

Neighbours are bonding over shovelling driveways. Mine are working their way up the street. I have amazing neighbours! ❤️🇨🇦

My first online marketing course was amazing! Students were all active participants and it will be a fun course with great people.

I celebrated with chocolate!

Chocolate serves a multitude of purposes!

I use "extenuating circumstances that have been discussed with me in advance". (Only one student requested an extension - his brother had just been diagnosed with cancer - and I granted the it, along with a hug, tears, and a ton of prayer.)

Hasn't happened since. Students know what I mean. 😅

No extensions unless extenuating circumstances exist and I am made aware. A deadline is a deadline. I cannot miss a deadline set by my supervisor, or client, or Dean. If I did, I wouldn’t be working there too long!

However, all my students know my policy and honour it. I do show grace when needed.

My institution’s policy s that a grade can be changed only if there was an error in calculating it. Otherwise, it needs to go through the academic appeals process.

Imagine if we saw customers as being the image of God. How would we advertise to them? What kind of products and services would we create? What pricing mechanisms would we use - and what would we charge? How would we deliver products to them?

I'm evaluating marketing functions through the lens of imago Dei - considering both consumers and marketers as being created in the image of God. The impact on both groups can be profound as it shapes those activities.

I'm starting work on a new project, so the first thing I do is create a table with rows and columns, filling in the structure of the model I am using.

Now comes the hard part.

Not thinking that I have done a full day's work by completing the above task.....

Bought ours today.

Thanks for asking. We are fine - we are working together to provide the support she needs and to support each other.

Mom tested positive yesterday for Covid and is in isolation for 10 days. With #dementia she doesn't remember or understand the isolation so is going out of her room at what she thinks are meal times. It's hard to watch someone who used to be so competent not remember she is sick. #Alzheimers sucks.

Now for the most challenging part: deciding whether to watch the Leaf/Habs season opener or the Jays finishing off the Yankees...

I was feeling overwhelmed by all I had to do. So I made my to do list.

Now I AM totally overwhelmed!!

Two courses (one on the go and another to start in January) and two consulting contracts. The list goes on for two pages.

Bring on the dark chocolate.

He challenged me to see my faith from a different perspective. He encouraged me to hope that the day will come when Jesus's justice will prevail. He focused me on actions I can take to enact justice today.
