Christmas 03 was the year I put my foot down and told my family to stop buying me Simpsons memorabilia

But I still enjoy creating so I’m gonna keep doing it, maybe I’ll become a recluse and never show anything to anyone ever again until it all gets found when I die

Yet I have never ever been able to get any kind of momentum. Part of it is my refusal to play nice with predators and abusers within the scene. But I’m not the only one. Am I unprofessional? Not popular enough? Cringe and old? Not fam?

I try my best to be present for my friends and family and will always share what little I may have if it’ll make a difference.

I work a day job, I spend all my free time creating. I work so much and so hard every single day, and i don’t expect anything to be handed to me. I always try to double down when discouraged.

I’ve been making and performing music for so long and I’ve continually improved and honed my skill, evolved my styles. I added video editing and visual art. Painting. Wheat pastes. Deconstructed or modified mundane things into something more.

I feel like life is passing me by. I keep trying to jump on and I keep getting thrown off, often it feels intentional. (Like the government literally trying to remove us from daily life.)

Reminds me of when the Strib threw a retirement party at a bar I dj’ed at & did speeches in front of my decks before I started. the entire writing staff saw me behind the editors (listening to them compliment their own bravery and wisdom) with this look on my face for the duration

If I think back to age 13, I can almost hear the AOL dial up sounds. That Pavlovian indicator that I will soon be in a tween chat room where I’d inevitably find myself in a very inappropriate conversation with a middle aged perv. Ahhhh memories
