I stopped tithing when I stopped being a Christian, but I still set aside money each month into a “generosity fund” so I have something to share when the moment calls for it.

A different societal structure fixes the former but not the latter. And I have so much of the latter! Work isn’t the villain. (2/2)

Unpopular (?) opinion: I would still work if capitalism went away.

If we define work as something you have to do, the “have to” might be that you need 💵 and sometimes the “have to” is bc an idea won’t leave you alone until you make it real. (1/2)

At the end of my last piece of 2024, I named the gazes I'm centering in my work in 2025:

✺The collectivist gaze
✺The lifelong learner gaze
✺The appreciator of beauty gaze
✺The “I’ll do it my way” gaze
✺The connection craver gaze

This *gestures broadly* is not working. We need to practice different ways of building and being if we want a better future.

Don’t be afraid to throw out the rules. A lot of them got us here.
