Got my full sized mockup for my support layer done. I have to make a few fit adjustments for comfort, but I'm ready to move on to the pattern and mockup for the waistcoat. Also, Mustache insisted on helping with the fitting. #sewsky

Oh, and here's the planned fabric! The button should darken with use, and Im not decided on the back, but I have always been partial to a black satin back. Might also dye the piping satin to be darker for more definition on the lines. #sewsky

I think im pretty happy with the overall design, and how the support layer works in mini, but I'm sure it'll take some fine-tuning once gravity gets involved with the full-sized version. I'm amused at the pattern for the back to get those pleats into the peplum. #sewsky

A sewing tin, full of my current project. There's a quarter scale dress form in the top left. Half of a bra mock-up is pinned onto it sewn in pink fabric. Top right is a magnetic pin dish, rimmed in sewing clips. There's a handsewn felt needle book, a spool of thread, reading glasses and several pieces of fabric also in the tin.

I wrapped up my pre-holiday tasks at work a bit early, so im enjoying an afternoon on mini mock-up sewing. This really helping me think through the construction process in advance, and make design decisions now. Looking forward to sewing samples for details. #sewsky

Playing around with my mini, I think I've found a neckline for a vest i want to attempt. Next step is to draft and sew the mini mockup and practice construction of the support layers. I'll also play around with color blocking since the brocade can be flipped #sewsky

Sock update! I'm 5 rows from finishing the full pattern repeat. I almost like the interior float side more than the knit side. It's been a little slow going, and I might change to a different pattern after the arch, one that I dont have to keep checking my chart for. #showmeyourknits #knitsky

Yeah, but I understand the decision. Some IP holders are happy with me bending the rules to suit the animation, and some want me to be true to the DLC and not set false expectations. Vegeta was entirely cut since they weren't able to get the beams to have physical collisions with shields or beams

Thanks! Huge Kudos to the artists at Cylcone that worked on the DLC who's models I based my pixel art on. I really love that they did the ears as 3D blocks, it suits Toriyama's art style so well. My favorite detail is how Vegeta's hairline wraps around the block of his head.

Occasionally, I have to leave some of my favorite #pixelart on the cutting room floor. I was really proud of capturing Vegeta's acting, and definitely heard @teamfourstar.bsky.social Lani's voice in my head while working on this. But since the DLC doesn't include lip flaps, Toei said to cut it.

In January, im going to see @nightvaleradio.bsky.social, and I think the green tie with purple tentacles fits that vibe... and that tie goes best with the black pinstripe, but wearing a discordant combo suits Cecil's style more... so maybe the tan brocade? Tough choices

A set of four fabrics: a black pinstripe, a light gray glenplaid(very tiny plaid), a warm tan paisley brocade, and a golden yellow jacquard with butterflies. On top are draped four ties, a gray slim tie with black leaves, a green tie with white squiggles and purple octopus blobs, a red tie with dark green swoosh and brass hexagonal shapes that look like metal nuts, and a black tie with all-over filigree designs in a gold to dark brown ombre.

Now that I've sorted out my cabbage, I think it's time to start on a new project. Im leaning toward waistcoat/suit vest, but im not sure which fabric. I already have trousers from the black pinstripe and the gray glenplaid (along with a haori). I thought laying out my ties would help. #sewsky

With Opal's help, I sorted and squeeze packed my usable scraps. I think some of these will become a cat blanket, and some of these will become a patchwork stuffed pumpkin. The tiniest scraps are in a box waiting to become stuffing. #sewsky #catsky

Thanks! I saw Kamui's pattern and thought it would be perfect for fabric, not just foam. I think i might make a patchwork pumpkin with this pattern, too. The stiff felt really made a difference over the soft kind

Not sure if it's an error in the instructions or in my construction, but I wound up cutting and adding an extra lobe to get my pumpkin fully round. One of my favorite things about felt is how it sticks to other felt, so I can swap out the faces! #craftsky #sewsky

For my second felt pumpkin (part of the reason I didn't make the first one bigger), I'm using a pattern by Kamui Cosplay. This stiff felt is holding its shape as well as the foam the pattern was designed for. Guess I'll save the buckram for another project #craftsky #sewsky tbcont...
