I've found this work spectacularly especially if you setup the generation to just be a handful of dice rolled at once.

I have a creation system similar to this for my homebrew system. Initial roll is Region of birth which gives a sub-table for species type. Region determines the Cultural trades table you roll on. That table has a sub-section for species specific trades for that region.

Classes work similarly.

Recently was asked why I am pursuing art in the time of AI and wouldn't it be easier to just use AI? I'm doing art because it's hard. Difficulty is what make things worth doing, and the skill I develop is real, I can do it with my hands at a whim. In a world of fakes I choose to make something real.
