That catch and pass was textbook - and what New Zealand are usually known for!
19.09.2025 18:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0COVID and flu on Tuesday - CVS in Dover NH. They asked if I was high risk, I said yes and was allowed to make an appointment. No issue when I was there.
11.09.2025 14:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sagapolu had an absolute banger of a match
30.08.2025 21:24 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I might lose my voice before the end of the game
30.08.2025 19:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's brilliant. Unfortunately I think my sock losing habit occurs prior to laundry, when I take off said socks and then they escape under the bed to hang with the dust bunnies, or end up in the ball point pen dimension somehow. Maybe I could implement laundry bags at the point of sock removal...
22.07.2025 14:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It is - there are sound transmission requirements between units in current building codes. But they might not be enough, rely on proper detailing/caulking joints etc, and don't apply to older buildings. But they are trying! New apartment buildings often have double stud walls for sound attenuation
22.06.2025 14:44 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Same! I really like slowloris.com for what I think of as "art shirts" - nice image, no words.
20.04.2025 14:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was able to get it in January by calling every pharmacy around - the only place that stocked it was Walmart. Then they wanted $1200 when I got there, and didn't even know there was a Pfizer coupon until I started googling whether it was worth taking standing in the aisle, so it ended up being free
10.03.2025 14:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That eyeliner game is on point.
08.03.2025 16:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think there is a social argument for gender segregated sports, because of patriarchal pressures on girls. But that's an argument for including trans kids not excluding them. The "men are inherently stronger" argument isn't true, but it's particularly not true when talking about kids.
06.03.2025 20:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Incredible news!

17.02.2025 20:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A photo of a black dog with white toes and chest sitting in a bed under a desk. There's a red donut shaped toy near her feet.
Ahh she looks like my Jenny, also a lab pitty mix. She's very sweet and a little lunatic, and comes to work with me a few days a week. I'm glad my life was settled enough to have her when she came
07.02.2025 05:19 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Except a Honda Fit because non tariff trade barriers made it impractical to import to the US π
20.01.2025 17:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What that's huge! And it reduces periods, which would be super helpful for lots of folks. Birth control that doesn't require precise timing, reduces/eliminates periods, and doesn't have the negative side effects of hormonal contraception? Sign me up.
15.01.2025 16:44 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I find writing such a different thing than typing, particularly when taking notes. Hand written notes record the information in my brain in a way that typed notes just don't.
Also team fountain pen all the way!
Things I should do today:
Shovel
Paint trim
Hang a closet rod
Empty some boxes
Things I want to do today:
Lie on the couch and play zelda
A photo of a black dog rolled up into the smallest of donuts on a blue couch.
Jenny is in full donut mode
09.01.2025 03:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And they were hugely effective. You can't take a photo of the march and claim it was anything else, since everyone was wearing pink. With Trump lying about crowd sizes left and right, having it be really fucking clear who was in that crowd was really important.
31.12.2024 03:42 β π 17 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0My birth certificate says I was born at 12:01 AM. But I was born at home so I think it's probably something of a guess by the midwife anyway.
20.12.2024 05:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Particularly in the age of google maps! I was in London in 2011 and found the tube way easier to navigate than the bus system, just because there was so much more to the buses. But now you can get maps directions for your particular route with various options. It's a joy!
19.12.2024 13:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've been resisting replying to a lot of posts today, because I wanted to think. And I think that we are at a unique crisis point right now on the left.
You can not spend a year running on telling us that democracy will end if this guy wins, and then just turn around and say, "well norms, you know"

08.12.2024 04:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm sure the global glitter shortage was real, but it sounds like a fake problem for a kids movie or something π
03.12.2024 03:51 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Hank Green did a rant/explainer on it a while back! youtu.be/KchX52bIZSg?... also I think the car industry was the largest consumer of glitter for a while? Not sure if that's still (or was ever true) but it's a good story
03.12.2024 03:43 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah no metal fleck. It used to be kind of a pain to get on even, so metal fleck was a marker of a higher quality paint job, but then with modern coatings it became easier so everything got it. Now we have clay colors cause everyone wants to be different but not too different. I like the sparkles!
03.12.2024 03:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Honestly that might be part of it. If the fit on the model is perfect and 90% of the people who put the dress on have gaping or the gore doesn't tack or whatever and don't buy it cause it doesn't look like the photo that's a loss for the company. But they should do better
03.12.2024 02:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So much this - I get why, bust fitting is hard, but ffs make the sample fit the model even if it fits no one else!
