overall there does not appear to be any deviations in trends since mid-2022

(this is not to say something definitely isn't changing, only that it'd be hard to tell given the noise in the series)

FRED graph of CLF16OV (blue) and PAYEMS (green) showing roughly a log-linear growth path (CLF16OV) and a gentle curve (PAYEMS) respectively; the CLF16OV line has a discrete jump up in january 2025

FRED graph of CLF16OV (blue) and PAYEMS (green) showing roughly a log-linear growth path (CLF16OV) and a gentle curve (PAYEMS) respectively; the CLF16OV line has a discrete jump up in january 2025

the previous graph showed the ratio PAYEMS / CLF16OV; this one shows PAYEMS and CLF16OV separately

we can see the discrete rise in CLF16OV in jan of 2025 mentioned in the previous skeet
(these are not abnormal)

log scale graph of PAYEMS / CLF16OV showing the pandemic recovery reaching a log-linear growth equilibrium around sept 2022 and it has basically been following that until jan 2025 where there is a discrete jump down due a discrete jump up in CLF16OV; after that discrete jump the slope (i.e. growth rate) has been roughly the same as the "equilibrium" from sept 2022 to jan 2025

Not sure we want to "over interpret" the recent job numbers as there's no indication of a deviation from log-linear growth of the "employment rate" except for a discrete jump that is due to a discrete rise in the labor force

additionally, this ratio cannot exceed 1 so must "flatten out" regardless

trying to understand the game theory here

like if she gets a pardon she'd be immune to prosecution if she ratted everyone out so given he was a client this would open him up to even more risk

but also if she gets a pardon for exonerating him that's going to be the least believable exoneration ever
