Day 7 of #WeekWithoutDriving
A photo from our (unsuccessful) trip to get the new WSF ORCA card, but having dinner with friends near and far was a worthy consolation.
My parents' cat Sassy, she's SEVENTEEN
Day 6 of #WeekWithoutDriving
No transit photos today, as all I did was visit my parents' house via a carpool. In lieu of buses, y'all may instead have a photo of their cat.

Two amazing sights, all at one moment:
โAt nearly the same moment the railcar first entered the I-90 bridge from the Mercer Island side, 11:49 p.m., a thick shower of sparks streaked high above the park, from an apparent meteor.โ

28.08.2025 19:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Screenshot of text from King County Metro's operator handbook. The text reads: 11.13 Base Routes Coaches scheduled to or from a base or terminal are considered in-service. Operators must accommodate all customers requesting to get on or off the coach at all regular stops on surface streets and SR-520. For base and โYโ routes that operate in areas where bus zones are not posted, make customer stops at the far side of intersections, whenever possible.
I'm starting a new awareness campaign: King County Metro buses signed with a "BASE" or "To Terminal" are in service! You can flag them down and ride! If you see a bus going in the direction you want to go, wave at the driver and ask. It's fun!
