Sex is relevant and meaningful because of the sex characteristics that comprise it. You are trying to make arguments that deny the characteristics of sex.

You can’t vote someone off the island of femaleness by making unsupportable claims, any more than I can vote you off. You can’t change material reality or biology by shouting angrily at it, nor can you deny the physical reality of change by closing your eyes to it. Sex is real and meaningful.

Biology and phenotype and sociological reality are the entirety of why it’s clear that transsexuals have an innate neurobiological intersex condition, and furthermore why hormones and surgery are more than sufficient to change sex, and certainly to change sex in any way relevant to law or spaces.

And you are the one makjng sex into an essence or a technicality or a monad or a birthright, and I am tr one arguing that sex as a category/class is a materially real basis for women to have single sex spaces and rights. But it is precisely this materialism that explains transsexuality as real.

If sex is binary, and not based on gametes (since that would make all infertile people sexless), then sex is clearly changeable. I also have no idea why you are responding to arguments about identity politics since 2018 or so, when I am making arguments about sex and materialist feminism.

Because any of the explanatory justifications for why women need single sex spaces and rights, to the degree they have either a physical or sociological component, are based on attributes of sex that people very clearly can change by medicine and/or are innately cross sexed in transsexuals.

If people cannot change sex using medical means, then you have defined sex so narrowly that it is a completely meaningless abstraction that provides no explanation for why female single sex spaces are needed.

I don’t see how her monumentally compromised career as Florida AG, including her clear pay for play response to Donald Trump (dropping investigations into him in exchange for a campaign donation), and her role in being his personal defense attorney during impeachment… could make her qualified here.

What precisely is the set of needs or risks that an integrated post op trans woman has which would vary compared to other women (including post menopause and post hysterectomy women, in case you will try to devolve to ever more narrow arguments related to fertility, as many GCs tend to do)?

You provided zero actual answer or response to the points above, nor does this have to do with self-identity, any more than your own right or entitlement to those spaces boils down to identify (though obviously group identification is relevant here). They are female in any relevant way at that point

What would that possibly have to do people who have changed sex, and have integrated as women, often for decades? How is it that you continue to avoid the fact that if there are legitimate needs and use case criteria for sex based rights and spaces, then at least some MtF clear that bar. Period.

And in fact trans women were being categorized as females upon medical and social transition in much of the developed world as early as, or even before, most modern women’s civil rights and public access developed. MtF were able to marry men in much of the developed world decades before gay marriage

No. Women were segregated from public life and there were no public spaces made for women for almost all of that time, and the purity culture imposed upon women was precisely the thing that feminists tried to break down. But nothing about that implies that transitioned transsexuals wouldn’t count.

Sex is arguably not spontaneously mutable in mammals, or very rarely so. That doesn’t imply that medically induced changes of sex don’t exist. The conflation of “this doesn’t happen outside of medicine” and “this doesn’t happen” are totally different.

You have not explained why integrated trans women who are post op are categorized as males, or as men. I don’t know if your whole schtick is going to boil down to some wildly exaggerated “we can always tell” view, but it’s also telling that nearly all of you oppose early hormones for MtF as well…

I don’t think this is remotely plausible. She has been the best selling artist for like half of all the year-end-totals between 2008 and now. She is bigger than say a U2 ever got.
