Yup. (And look—you and I are perfectly placed to over-identify with Mohan’s workaholism, wish that we had Santos’s way with a wisecrack, and ruefully acknowledge that we’ve been Whitaker in a rough patch much more often in our lives than Abbot being badass.

The core structural conceit works; the writers know how to pace episodes; they have a slew of characters and manage to make all of them interesting and rounded; they try hard to get the medical details right and at least somewhat realistic, with a dash of soap opera; and good camerawork and editing.

(I will note that in a somewhat different tonal register The Residence is delightful.)

Just finished watching s1 of the Pitt, so I’m not really in a position to comment knowledgeably. ;)
