I have usually spent half time cleaning up the kitchen because I haven’t been into the music since “Up With People” 😂. But I’ll be watching this one; my private little protest.

What makes it special?

Did I briefly fall asleep or did NBC fail to show the entry of the USA Olympic team into the Opening Ceremony? Perhaps, there were boos? I hope that I missed something.

I was one of about 80 people who participated in a protest against ICE in a very red county in SC. It’s not many compared to other cities, but it gave me hope. The response from the vehicular traffic was mostly neutral, followed by many positive reactions. The number of outright negative was low.

Just posting this shows more bravery than the too many who remain silent.

Today, I passed a billboard advertising Barry Manilow’s last concert in Charleston SC. To think that I heard him as a rising star more than 50 years ago. Not necessarily a fan, but I admire stamina.
