Hard agree, as a kid I saw the most horrific shit on 4chan be desensitizing and no parents around me ever bothered to look into internet safety i guess since it was new but also?? Critical thinking and healthy skepticism can go a long way

I would argue there are potential benefits to playing video games, especially social ones for kids who get anxious at school or other crowded places. but if your kid is online a lot, it’s on the parent to monitor and address uncomfortable topics or at least create space for kids to ask about them.
