I read a little bit of everything though spend a lot of time with fantasy, urban and otherwise.

For writing and reading I generally prefer first person. I enjoy the feel of embodying the character and being forced to deal with that slice of a perspective. Plus it feels infinitely more intimate to be inside the protagonists head.

On the plus side, the new story is an erotica parallel story with my Pokemon ZA playthrough so I'll probably drop it for free unedited as I go. Then again, the last time I did that was a decade ago and I gave up halfway in. So 🤷‍♂️

And the original inspiration no longer makes sense. I desperately don't want to cut it out, but this story makes so much more sense without it.

I now viscerally understand the need to "Kill your darlings." The story I'm writing was wholly inspired by one vision. I was always working toward that final scene. In working at fleshing out one of my characters, the conflict, villain motivation, and resolution all fell into place. (1/2)
