Pagebound is cool because it’s a forum mixed with book tracking. Each book has a forum (think Reddit) where you can discuss the books with others. Then there’s also a space where you can leave reviews (separate from the active discussion). Bc it’s dedicated to books, I get more interaction there.

I have often felt that Americans, which includes myself, have a habit of entertaining ourselves to death. Amusement is such a huge part of our lives, and it interferes with us doing the necessary but uncomfortable thing. I didn’t narrow it to humor though, which is interesting to think about.

Maybe Gideon is preparing for the role of Mufasa. It will be riveting.

I’ve read Dark Matter, Recursion, Upgrade and Pines. Dark Matter and Recursion are my favs. Pines was good but it threw me for a loop that I haven’t recovered from lol. Upgrade, I could’ve done without.

Overall, I like his writing style and his stories. I love being on the edge of my seat.

This book is in my top 5. I did not expect to get so caught up in it.

It’s weird how all the "hot" businesses cultivate selfish, obsessive and addictive behaviors. Social media, betting, private equity. Hoarding, endless scrolling, risk taking that then escalate to violence.

This is exactly how it’s gonna go. Lol

The concept is chilling enough, but then they made the ad like a trailer to a horror film with the upbeat but somehow chilling music and the eerie way they look at the screen.

I can see that. Things get complicated fast when you interfere with time. I generally like the premise and all of the fallout from interfering with time. Even when it’s not tidy, there are interesting things to ponder.

I suck at plotting though, so there’s that. 😂
