Fair. ChatGPT has no incentive to keep people from asking silly questions.
30.10.2025 15:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I like (1) in that it is clear about what it is trying to test but that's also irrelevant to me. Just because a good chunk of users asks silly questions doesn't invalidate the software. As for (2), all questions work consistently that prompt the software to provide considerations for a problem.
30.10.2025 07:45 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I would also add that there are plenty of use cases where it's not about giving "correct" answers at all.
30.10.2025 07:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I find it so silly seeing so many articles that claim X percent of ChatGPT answers are wrong. I can create a test where it gets 100 percent of the questions wrong. To me, that's an irrelevant metric. It's on users to understand what good questions are to ask of AI, what good use cases are.
30.10.2025 07:31 β π 8 π 2 π¬ 2 π 0So do we think Trump would bail out the banks?

07.10.2025 06:58 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Reading term papers, it occurs to me that there is a massive disconnect between everyone being worried that all student submissions are written by AI and the quality of the papers that I get to read... If students are using AI, I wish they would use it better...
05.10.2025 14:59 β π 12 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0So we're all in agreement that copy-editing is dead, right?
23.09.2025 12:44 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0What a profound blessing it is if you can stay optimistic/positive these days
21.09.2025 15:10 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs a profound tragedy of our time how many people are apparently angry all the time.
21.09.2025 15:08 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just learned that pigeons can be trained to discriminate between good and bad children's paintings by pecking at the good ones. Brutal.

26.07.2025 16:34 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I keep hearings that there is a lack of blood donors. Would it be unethical for blood donation organizations to advertise by saying that donating blood reduces PFAS levels in the blood? Seems more effective than advertising by appealing to citizenship.
26.07.2025 15:19 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I don't know. I'm just assuming that it would be lower but I have no sense by how much.
28.06.2025 11:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Presumably, Tesla is no small part of the US auto-making sector? So, wouldnβt we want to know how much the sector is down without Tesla being part of that figure?
28.06.2025 11:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It occurs to me that an e-scooter is the vehicle equivalent of a vape in terms of sex appeal.
15.06.2025 20:21 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is there any other service like academic publishing where the brand name is all that matters and the quality of the service is absolutely irrelevant?
12.06.2025 11:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0How is it possible that despite having ungodly amounts of money, no major journal publisher has been able to develop a decent eproofing platform?
11.06.2025 12:48 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have a really interesting political science puzzle, to which I don't have a good answer at all. Can somebody please set up the Journal "Political Science Puzzles", so I can get that published?

09.05.2025 06:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We gotta stop saying "this lack of political professionalism shouldn't happen in times of the AfD". It's setting an impossible standard for the messiness of real world politics and it strengthens the bizarre reading that somehow anything less than perfect is a validation of the AfD
06.05.2025 13:13 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Youβre right, of course and I should have been more specific. What I meant was that itβs the most self-explanatory symbol that doesnβt occurred naturally.
28.04.2025 17:59 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Arrows are the most self-explanatory symbols that have no basis in the physical world
27.04.2025 11:37 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The contemporary political right makes a much greater effort to develop a coherent theory for their project, something that was historically true for the left.

29.03.2025 18:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Do we have a sense that popular TV shows have become more conservative in the last couple of years? No, right? Isn't there a surprising disconnect between culture and society/politics at the present moment? And should we expect TV to become more conservative now?
29.03.2025 15:58 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Why arenβt there any successful parties of (new) ethnic minorities in Europe? Shouldnβt there be a market?
