Women only want one thing, and it's the 1970s Outspan Orange.
I've just had an advert on facebook, which said "Please vote for my song in a contest" - a contest for AI created songs.
So this guy is too lazy to write a song, too lazy to find an audience, just wants to pay some money to win a prize.
The snake is eating itself.
If a local community facebook group had wheels...
16.10.2025 12:23 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I have yet to receive a leaflet through the door offering me 2 for 1 on a marajuana if I collect.
Is that how you say it ? A marajuana ?
I was going to do a "i'm not saying my mother in law is fat, no-one in korea is fat apart from me !" joke to this, but it felt problematic on about 2 levels, perhaps 3.

notification from facebook.
err, 'scuse me ? no, thankyou very much.
what data can't tell you apparently is how "safely" players like to play.
15.10.2025 16:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sargent has been living off scraps all season, it seems that we no longer / very rarely play through-balls, players make the runs but the midfielders chicken out of playing the ball nine times out of ten, then the ball goes to the wing, the defence have time to organise and we have a corner.

15.10.2025 09:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Something I read a few days ago was along the lines of "we won't break even if the Nvidia chips last 10 years", and like, 10 years, constant use in a data centre, seems like a long time for a chip.
14.10.2025 20:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We were putting 4 past teams in February. And then JHT started talking about "culture", players started missing matches. After that it was downhill. All the data in the world won't help you if you lose the dressing room.
14.10.2025 20:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I get the feeling we are going to end up as a country with unpicked crops, undelivered fast food, broken plumbing, and uncared for elderly and infirm people.
14.10.2025 16:12 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0so if i understand this correctly, company owners in his bracket would need to sell x per cent of shares ( if they held their net worth there, many do ), every year, by a certain date, to pay the government. I'm not sure what that would do to share prices, could it create a run ? interesting, ta!
14.10.2025 15:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There will be a back-door exploit where we can turn their weapons against them, if needed. There's always a back-door.
14.10.2025 13:25 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Yes, but they have institutional knowledge of that business.
If we're talking about a gradual move, of 1 or 2 per cent a year, of businesses into govt. control, at some point govt. will hold large amounts of shares in everything that UK citizens have created - but no knowledge of how to run them.
I'm not sure it's possible to do this and have whatever benefits there are of what we have currently - it smells of government control, and governments aren't very good at running businesses historically.
14.10.2025 13:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Forcing the sale of assets. Presumably to the government. Would that, long term, effectively nationalise everything ?
Other things I don't understand about this, maybe you can explain :
Who sets the value of assets
How can assets be traced when it can take little time to move them, e.g. abroad
Fair comment, but isn't that just because the majority of discourse isn't where green issues are, but instead those of wealth and income inequality currently ? Depending on who you talk to, it's either foreigners or billionaires ( I think b) stealing our cookies ?
14.10.2025 12:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The ( simplistic ) way I see the wealth tax is, it would cost more to work out what's owed and collect it than it would to raise it. it's sort of the anti-UBI in that respect.
Happy to be corrected in any of the above :).
It's actually quicker for me to walk to our doctors and wait in reception ( 15 minutes ) than to wait for them to answer the phone. Covid seems to have broken the way surgeries deal with people.
14.10.2025 11:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Most of my namesakes are boring, much like myself, but for a small period of time, one of them was in jail for flying a plane full of marajuana into Nebraska.
This was just before legalisation in various states so i think they went easy on him in the end.
ok then - whoever is making policy needs to speak to real world left-wing economists ( and arguably some right-wing ones to give a sanity filter), and then feed the figurehead better lines than "wealth tax".
