I will admit, I would like to see a general norm develop in the Church against the use of generative AI to write *any* pastoral communication, including but not limited to sermons. I could be persuaded to the contrary, but right now my feeling is I'd like to see bishops prohibit it as plagiarism.

I couldn't let that Confessore piece slide. It was such a disgusting hit piece on a vulnerable community in a moment of crisis. I dissected the article and why its framings are dishonest at best and outright lies of ommission at worst.

Seemingly lost in all of the NYT coverage is that what the Supreme Court did was effectively lower the evidentiary bar that state's have to meet to justify their bans. The lower courts that applied heightened scrutiny universally blocked the bans.

The reasoning in Skrmetti is just repackaged “every race is punished equally, so nothing to see here” logic that Loving v. Virginia emphatically rejected.

I mean I wouldn’t say that it’s ~automatically~ a dog whistle. I call myself Anglican. Nashotah just is (and has been for a while) on the conservative side of things.

The same would be true at Virginia. Fundamentally, though, you want a place that will steep you, through daily prayer in community, in this particular expression of Christianity and which will give you a good foundation in the fundamentals so you know how to break/bend the rules later.

There isn’t really an American in person ‘anglocatholic’ seminary anymore outside of Nashotah, which is less than ideal for LGBTQ+ folks and women. Sewanee skews toward prayer book Catholic, and I’ve heard very good things. I went to YDS, and got an AC experience by my internship site.
