Please can we normalise putting in headphones to listen to music on the train thank you. I love music on the train as much as the next person but I don’t need to hear your favourite songs

Today we celebrate the power of community finance: people coming together to support one another, build resilience, and invest in a fairer future.

the Leader of a political party endorsed shoplifting This is proof the Greens are no friend to working people

working people, our retail workers up against the rise in shop lifting which puts them in danger & lowers morale.

I’m proud to be a member of USDAW & Co-op who have led the charge on this

It is nice to see MPs thinking about the academics as always πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚. I’m sure one or two PhD candidates will be helped out by this haha

This is exciting news!

Our Party continues to prove its worth! But we still need to go further. I hope members will support my election onto the NEC so we can keep punching above our weight and deliver for our movement

The night the lights were lit: 180 years of UK co-operation David J. Thompson on the birthplace of the co-op in 1844

Happy 180th Birthday to the co-operative movement!! πŸ₯³

Our Co-op can trace its roots back to the first store opening in Rochdale on 21 December 1844. Co-operatives are a different way of doing business as the excellent article below by Co-op News describesπŸ‘‡πŸ’™

It’s really exciting news I must say I did begin to lose faith we would ever see the bank return to mutual ownership but I’ve been proven wrong

There is definitely a β€˜block’ the moment I’m challenged culture on Bluesky. absolutely everyone’s right to block & not engage but as a whole progressives will struggle to beat the right if we can’t handle criticisms from other progressives but I guess English & Welsh Greens don’t like talking Co-ops

Or Carla could champion co-operative and mutual solutions like Labour is just like Thangam would of done giving greater consumer ownership

They are looking at mutual and co-operative models that will run them as not for profits and will deliver greater consumer rights and ownership

29.11.2024 18:14 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

the commission will consider the use of co-operative and mutual models that will deliver better consumer rights of their water giving us real ownership- this is something the Green Party used to support sad to see them turning away from realistic solutions to grow the co-operative & mutual sector

Although i think it makes an interesting point on the confusion over hostility. Plays into a point on β€˜culture war’, a term I hate, some of the conservative culture war warriors seem to confuse public disinterest and lack of understanding of postmaterialism concerns with outright opposition.

In the GOPs defence they are effectively already calling for quicker counting it’s just they would prefer to just cut off after the day after the election even if only 10% has been counted and just declare the winner assuming the GOP wins otherwise yes it’s keep counting πŸ˜‚

I note Co-op aren’t on
that list - while the rise will absolutely have impacts on us, we have frozen our meal deal at 3.50 for Members, while Tesco has increased its’ prices.

Shows how a business serves its consumers instead of profit maximisation can deliver better for our communities

Come on Alaska it’s sad enough you voted out Mary Peltola but do us one thing and don’t go back to First Past the Post it’s just a terrible voting system. See GOP you can win under Ranked Choice Voting you just proved it. You don’t have to abolish Ranked Choice Voting as well

I’ve been called many things on the Internet but fascist is a new one I can tick off the bingo card.

See I believe the word fascist has a meaning outside of β€˜person I disagree with’ I strongly disagree with Seb Payne, but neither me or him are fascists. Curious what your definition of fascist is?
