Right now in the hellish heat I’m growing things that like that: okra, amaranths, peppers, lots of greens from Asia and Africa, some squash, long beans. Starting seedlings for the fall and winter now.

I live in Texas. It’s one of the best times to grow produce here!

Took me awhile to figure out we have a bunch of short growing seasons and once I had that down, it was just a question of getting the crop rotation down too.

It took me a long time and a lot of effort and the blessings of outdoor space to get here, but never have I been happier to be self sufficient in produce.

I mean isn’t “woke Superman” breaking all sorts of records?
