it hits the excitement of getting a prompt and instantly knowing what happens next, even with the prompts being open-ended.

definitely pick up the oracular version, if you can, the custom oracle deck for generating spells/npcs is great.

and a quick review: i really liked this one! it's a prompt-based journalling game with some minor resource management, similar to Thousand Year Old Vampire, and like TYOV, almost plays itself once you get into the flow of things.

been feeling super burnt out lately (wrt like. everything), but i sat down tonight and played through 'alone on a map'. super fun little game! i mainly just drew cards and doodled, but you could definitely go more in depth with journaling or world-building.
