Another NPC in our game: Collembola, or springtails, prefer moist soil and are generally harmless, but might damage your colony by grazing on the fungus that feeds your ants.

Concepts for some antagonists in Garden of Ants: ladybug, antlion, jumping spider, and mouse spider.
