Outside of the massive hits, I know nothing about Billy Joel, like zilch. I've never knowingly listened to one of his albums. However, I'm enjoying the series about him on Sky. Some of his music is not to my taste at all but he seems like a stand up guy (I'm up to late 70s so far)
