We should all be marching on Washington right now. None of this is good or normal and they are crippling us for generations to come. We have already lost more than we can gain back/rebuild, but if we don’t act it’s only going to get worse. And yet, my coworkers don’t even know what’s happening…

Am I correct in thinking there truly is no way back from all the damage this court has done/will do under this administration? I’m all for being a hopeful warrior but at what point are we in the “no return” range?

Was sitting with my fiancée the other day and made the point to her that we are barreling towards another civil war and she didn't seem to latch onto the notion. I don't blame her of course, no one SHOULD believe such a thing is even possible at this point in our Union. And yet I now can't UNsee it.

To generalize this down further, it's all (most) conservatives have as their reasoning: grievances. Someone somewhere slighted them once and made them feel less than superior and that was all it was ever going to take.

Also true. Rock and hard place scenario, but DEMs have a LOT of levers they can pull. They just lack testicular fortitude. Plays like this one are only good if the other side doesn't degrade the field even more (they will, Abbott already planning it). We need more drastic plays at this point.

Idk but the premise of the question assumes they’d care which side they end up on. Truth is, those who history would judge harshly didn’t give a shit either way.

I work in higher-ed fundraising. It is SO weird hearing how we are losing state/federal funds and that is making our jobs more needed without ANY discussions about WHY we are losing the funding. It’s just, “Oops, lost some cash for NO REASON AT ALL SO DON’T ASK. Now get back to work and get money.”

Did I say THIS person in particular voted for it? The “THEY” I referenced was the LatinX electorate, which voted for conservatives in a majority fashion. So, yeah, this was something the MAJORITY of the American LatinX community opted for. EYE voted against this 🤷🏽‍♂️. My heart hurts for em, but 🤷🏽‍♂️

ICE stormed into the wrong house, trashed the place, and made women/girls stand outside in the rain in their underwear. ICE also stole phones, laptops, and cash savings from the family, who moved to OKC two weeks ago.

Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us. So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.
