A lot of people come into the games industry and pretty soon develop a cynical attitude that the industry is largely run by business guys who don't know a thing about video games. It's only after a few years and some seniority that you realize that those guys don't know shit about business either.

At 13, I taught myself scripting by making a d&d engine in the map editor for starcraft.

Bonus : I also learned to save, save often, AND save to multiple files when i lost 2 days of work due to a corrupt save file. Boy, was I giddy when I learned about source control.

Camera movement and sfx need some work. Animation itself could use some physical anim modifiers. There's a gdc video on last of us animations that might be useful. Also, smash Brothers game designer runs a YouTube channel. Great vid on there about making more impactful. Keep up the good work!
